Promotion of rights through universal, equitable, and sustainable access to drinking water in the rural indigenous community of Santa Elena, municipality of Concepción (department of Santa Cruz, Bolivia)

A drinking water distribution system will be built in the rural indigenous community of Santa Elena, benefiting 100 per cent of the population—121 individuals (62 women). This system consists of a submersible pump for the community’s existing water tank, a water mains network and household water connections, and solar equipment to generate electricity for proper working of the water system. A water committee will be set up to manage it sustainably, and workshops on human rights, hygiene, and disease prevention will be held.
