Improve public health service offerings at the General Hospital of Marrere (GHM), Nampula.
The main objective of the program is to provide infrastructure, equipment, materials and human resources to the GHM in order to improve medical attention to the inhabitants of the province. The population receiving benefits from the project are the men, women and children needing health services for whom the GHM serves as their primary and secondary health center.
GHM is highly regarded in the fight against tuberculosis and lung ailments. The outpatient services of the GHM function like a primary care center receiving non-referral patients, mainly from the rural area surrounding the city of Nampula and its suburbs.
