Promotion of rights through equitable and sustainable access to drinking water and safe sanitation in the rural indigenous community of Buena Esperanza, municipality of Concepción (department of Santa Cruz, Bolivia)

The project aims to provide water to 100% of the community, and to this end, it is proposed to build a 20,000-liter elevated tank as well as to install a pumping system and a water mains network with household water connections in all homes. A Water Committee (with 50% female representation) will be created, which will set a fair price for consumption and will be made up of beneficiary families from the community, promoting gender equality by stipulating 50% of female representation. In addition, toilets will be built in the community school, and good hygiene practices, disease prevention, and responsible water use will be promoted through training.
