TAKE THEM TO SCHOOL
The St. Mary primary school was founded in 1928 by the order of St. Vincent Paul, and presently has 635 students between the ages of 6 and 14. More than 400 students of the St. Mary of Metcha Broddo school come from needy families and run the risk of abandoning their studies if they cannot come up with funds to pay for their uniform, school materials and tuition. The purpose of the “Take them to school” project is to grant scholarships to the maximum possible number of needy children. An educational scholarship for an Ethiopian child costs 75 Euros and includes: tuition, uniform (pants, shirt and shoes), school materials (notebooks, pencils and textbooks), medicines and other expenses for basic needs.
