Ethiopia

The St. Mary primary school was founded in 1928 by the order of St. Vincent Paul, and presently has 635 students between the ages of 6 and 14. More than 400 students of the St. Mary of Metcha Broddo school come from needy families and run the risk of abandoning their studies if they cannot come up with funds to pay for their uniform, school materials and tuition. The purpose of the “Take them to school” project is to grant scholarships to the maximum possible number of needy children. An educational scholarship for an Ethiopian child costs 75 Euros and includes: tuition, uniform (pants, shirt and shoes), school materials (notebooks, pencils and textbooks), medicines and other expenses for basic needs. La escuela de primaria “St.Mary” fue fundada en 1928 por la orden de San Vicente Paul y en la que actualmente estudian 635 niños desde los 6 a los 14 años de edad. Más de 400 alumnos de la escuela St. Mary de Metcha Boroddo provienen de familias necesitadas y corren el riesgo de abandonar sus estudios si no consiguen financiación para pagar el uniforme, el material escolar, las tasas. El proyecto “Llevale al cole” tiene como finalidad conseguir becar al máximo número de niños necesitados. La beca de la educación de un niño en Etiopia cuesta 75 euros y esto incluye: Matrícula, Uniforme (pantalones, camisa y zapatos), Material escolar (cuadernos, lápices y libros de texto), Medicación y otros gastos para necesidades básicas.
