Food Security

Guatemala

The intervention contributes to food and nutritional security, promoting the access to the right to adequate and sustainable food of the rural indigenous community living in Cruz de Santiago. The activities are linked comprehensively with the right to health, through health and nutritional care; sustainable development, through agricultural technical training and the implementation of agricultural micro-projects; the improvement of household conditions, with the delivery of spare parts for ecological water filters; and the strengthening of the civil society, providing leadership and community organizing training.

Seguridad alimentaria

La intervención contribuye a la seguridad alimentaria y nutricional, promoviendo el acceso al derecho a la alimentación adecuada y sostenible de la población rural indígena que reside en Cruz de Santiago. Las actividades se asocian de manera integral con el derecho a la salud, por medio de la atención médico-nutricional; el desarrollo sostenible, a través de la capacitación técnica agrícola y la implementación de microproyectos agrícolas; el mejoramiento de las condiciones del hogar, con entrega de repuestos de filtros ecológicos de agua; y, fortalecimiento de la sociedad civil, brindando capacitaciones liderazgo y organización comunitaria.
