School Support Project
TARGET: Under cooperation agreement with Profesionales Solidarios there has been carried out a School Support project for deprived children in Pamplona.
MAIN ACTIVITIES: A support school program at the following schools of Pamplona: Colegio Víctor Pradera, Colegio Santísimo Sacramento, Colegio Santa Catalina Laboure, Colegio Vedruna. The program includes coordination with the Headmasters and Counsellors of each school, in order to identify the beneficiaries of the program, as well as collaboration with the volunteers who carry out the support at the schools. In addition, the children of the students of Villa Teresita project receive school support in facilities provided by the parish of San Francisco Javier.
Volunteer Recruitment Campaign at Universidad de Navarra and Universidad Pública de Navarra, envisaging that the students of careers associated with education may receive credits in return for their school support work.
IMPACT: The schools note an improvement in the students’ grades and in the acquisition of work habits of the children involved in the school support program.
