Implementation of a sustainable model of water management and sanitation in five Aymaras’ communities of the Altiplano in Bolivia
The sustainable water and sanitation management project will be developed in 5 indigenous rural communities located in the Bolivian Altiplano. With the involvement of social organizations in the communities (Drinking Water Committees, Women’s Groups, School Boards, etc) and in coordination with the municipality of Achocalla, firstly, the Taucachi community will have access to potable water for all its inhabitants; secondly, 41 families of the Uncura community will have acceess to healthy baths; and thirdly, the five communities will carry out a sustainable, ecological and gender equal community management of their sanitation infrastructure.
