Guidance and training to 60 women at risk of social exclusion and vulnerability to help them to overcome poverty
AIM: The project is aimed at the social and labour market integration of African migrant women at risk of social exclusion; an invisible group of trafficking women, victims of sexual exploitation, and victims of gender-based violence. The workshops are designed to increase their employability and empowerment, thus allowing them to access to the labour market in standardized companies, so that they can achieve economic and personal self-sufficiency. The project seeks to facilitate their access through actions that combine vocational guidance and counselling (care of children and the elderly, home management,..), with training and job-search assistance (preparing a resumé, practicing for interviews…).
ACTIVITIES: FAMILY AND PERSON Workshop. The workshop approaches the self-concept, improving the self-esteem, and guidelines to educate children and encourage communication within families. BASIC SEWING AND CRAFTS Workshop. The workshop aims to create an area to share crafts and art, helping the participants to explore their creativity and to develop their individual abilities. LABOUR INTEGRATION Workshop.
IMPACT: Villa Teresita serves annually more than 180 women in Navarra (with more than 300 children in their care). The project responds to the terrible situation of isolation and exclusion suffered by a group of African immigrant women in Navarra. They are young women between 18 and 35, who have been introduced against their will in the world of trafficking, due to the extreme poverty of their families. The project faces this situation with a dynamic personalized support. They are all seen as individuals, and are accompanied on a personal journey where everyone is valued as a person. They gradually recover their self-esteem, and they are given tools with which to fight to get ahead themselves and their children. Children and their mothers are the key elements of the project. In Villa Teresita it emerges that the lack of affection and violence suffered in childhood make these mothers tend to reproduce patterns of emotional deprivation with their children, and sometimes violent treatment.

School Support Project
AIM: Ensuring that all children have access to quality education. Ensuring that children can live a healthy leisure and facilitate their social inclusion in the community. Ensuring that immigrants who have not learned the official language, can acquire it and thus make a better follow-up to the education of their children, supporting them in their studies, and at the same time expanding their own networks of relationships for a better integration in the community, thus easing the social inclusion of their children.
ACTIVITIES: Voluntary service in the schools of Santa Catalina, Blessed Sacrament, Carmelites, and the parish of San Fermin and the parish of San Francisco Javier. We have provided school support and follow-up in the tasks and studies to children who for various reasons have less opportunities, or whose families show difficulties for follow up. Volunteers go 1/2 days to the corresponding centers to perform support and personalised monitoring. The Foundation works in coordination with the coaches/guardians of the educational centers or the person responsible for the institutions.
IMPACT: The schools confirmed an improvement not only in the marks but also on the acquisition of work habits by children participating in the program.

Acompañamiento y formación a 60 mujeres en riesgo de exclusión social y vulnerabilidad en su salida de la pobreza
OBJETIVO: El proyecto trabaja para la inserción socio-laboral de mujeres inmigrantes de origen africano en situación de exclusión social, un colectivo “invisible” víctimas de “trata de blancas”, explotación sexual y violencia de género. Esa inserción se logrará a través de la acogida en Talleres encaminados a incrementar su empleabilidad y empoderamiento, posibilitando su acceso al mercado laboral en empresas normalizadas y alcanzar una autonomía tanto económica como personal. Se busca facilitar su acceso mediante acciones que combinen la orientación y formación profesional (cuidado de niños y mayores, gestión del hogar…), con la formación en búsqueda de empleo (realizar C.V., entrevistas…).
ACTIVIDADES: Taller de FAMILIA y PERSONA. Se trabaja sobre el autoconcepto, el refuerzo de la autoestima y para la educación de los hijos y la comunicación en familia. Taller de COSTURA BÁSICA y MANUALIDADES. Se busca crear un espacio en el que manualidades y arte convivan, de tal manera que las participantes puedan explorar su creatividad y desarrollar sus habilidades personales. Taller de PRE-INSERCIÓN LABORAL.
IMPACTO: Desde Villa Teresita se atiende anualmente en Navarra a más de 180 mujeres (con más de 300 menores a su cargo). El proyecto responde a la tremenda situación de aislamiento y exclusión que sufre un colectivo de mujeres inmigrantes de origen africano en Navarra. Mujeres jóvenes entre 18 y 35 años, que debido a una situación familiar de extrema necesidad y pobreza se han introducido contra su voluntad en el mundo de la trata. El proyecto sale al paso de esta situación con una dinámica de acompañamiento personalizado. Se las conoce una a una y se les acompaña en un itinerario personal donde cada una es valorada como persona y se les infunde la autoestima que tienen perdida y se les dan instrumentos con los que luchar por salir adelante ellas y sus hijos. Los hijos son sin duda junto con sus madres la gran razón del proyecto, ya que desde Villa Teresita se constata que la carencia de afecto y la violencia sufrida en la infancia hacen que estas madres tiendan a reproducir patrones de carencia afectiva con sus hijos y en algunos casos trato violento.

Proyecto de apoyo escolar
OBJETIVO: Garantizar que todos los niños tengan acceso a una educación de calidad. Garantizar que los niños puedan vivir un ocio saludable y facilitar su inclusión social en la comunidad. Garantizar que personas inmigrantes que no han aprendido la lengua oficial, puedan adquirirla y así hacer un mejor seguimiento de la educación de sus hijos, apoyarles en los estudios y al mismo tiempo ampliar sus propias redes de relaciones e integrarse en la comunidad y facilitar la integración en la sociedad de sus hijos.
ACTIVIDADES: Servicio de voluntariado en los colegios Santa Catalina, Santísimo SacramentServicio de voluntariado en los colegios Santa Catalina, Santísimo Sacramento, Carmelitas, la Parroquia de San Fermín y la Parroquia de San Francisco Javier. Se ofrece apoyo escolar y seguimiento en las tareas y los estudios a niños que por diversas circunstancias carecen de otras oportunidades como son académicas y otros servicios de pago o sus familias muestran dificultades para hacerles el seguimiento. Los voluntarios acuden 1/2 días a los centros correspondientes a realizar un apoyo y seguimiento personalizado. La Fundación trabaja en coordinación con los orientadores/tutores de los centros educativos o responsables de las instituciones.
IMPACTO: Se constata desde los colegios una mejora no sólo en las notas sino en la adquisición de hábitos de trabajo por parte de los menores participantes en el programa.

Campamento urbano:
Durante una semana en junio, Fabre realizó un campamento urbano con distintas actividades y juegos. En el participaron los niños del Proyecto de Apoyo escolar que se realiza junto a Villa Teresita de Pamplona y la Fundación Profesionales Solidarios. Con la colaboración de Banco de Alimentos de Navarra.
