The project is aimed to meet the basic needs of 5,800 people affected by the hurricane Sandy, by fighting hunger, searching for basic housing, and improving sanitary and food conditions.
Direct care is supported by the infrastructure of volunteering, both in the rural and peri-urban and urban areas. The volunteers distribute food, medicines, clothing, footwear, bedding, towels and household utensils, as well as repair the damages in the affected homes. These consist of roofings, repair and installation of new toilets, wiring and drinking water systems.

El proyecto está dirigido a cubrir las necesidades básicas de 5.800 personas afectadas por el paso del huracán Sandy, a través de la lucha contra el hambre, la búsqueda de la habitabilidad básica, y la mejora de sus condiciones sanitarias y alimentarias. La atención directa se realiza apoyados en la infraestructura del voluntariado, tanto en las zonas urbanas como en las periurbanas y rurales. Se efectúa reparto de alimentos, medicinas, ropa, calzado, sábanas, toallas y útiles de hogar, además de realizar arreglos en las viviendas afectadas. Estos consisten en arreglos de tejados, reparaciones e instalaciones de sanitarios, instalaciones eléctricas y suministro de agua potable.
